Zound Earplugs have a 19dB noise reduction rating with a balanced attenuation - specifically designed to evenly reduce noise. This allows you to hear your surroundings (just at a comfortable volume).
BALANCED ATTENUATION
Zound reduces more noise in the frequencies where the human ear is most sensitive (around 2000 hertz) with less attenuation in the low (bass) and high (treble) frequencies.

The flexible shell creates a “Sealing effect” for your ears. Sound passes through the high-fidelity filter into the audio canal, so sound is always filtered and never blocked.
