For a bit of context, I’m a semi pro musician who has been using professional moulded ear plugs for the last 10 years. About a year ago I noticed my current pair of moulded plug were starting to fit poorly and were falling out during rehearsals and shows. Not wanting to dump another $300 into pro plugs (these would be my 3rd set) I decided to try and find of pair of generic fit plugs with good sounding filters.
For the last year I have tried 6 different sets of plugs all from notable brands (thankfully many I was able to return) and either the filters sounded too different from what I was used to with the pro plugs or the generic fit isn’t large enough for my very large ear canals. So I booked an appointment to have moulds made for new pro plugs, later that day I stumbled across an ad for Zounds. Deciding to give the Zounds plugs a chance I postponed my appointment and ordered the Zounds earplugs.
Needless to say I am absolutely over the moon with the Zounds! These sound just as good as my $300 pro plugs and fit my massive ear holes perfectly! If you’re a musician looking for a more affordable option than the pro plugs these are for you!! Only draw back is Zounds only have one filter attenuation option, perhaps that will change (hint hint please look into more options Zounds, 25db would be great for us into punishing volume).

I’m very pleased with the Zound Ear plugs and the connecting cord. I like the connecting cord attached to my ear plugs so I will not lose them. I attend concerts a few times a year, and the ear plugs help protect my ears from the loud music.

These cords are super handy. They take a bit of effort to get on, but are very secure. Since the two of us tend to dance and move at shows, an earpiece will pop out now and then and the extra cost for these are worth it not losing your hearing protection.
One downside -- with the cord, the Zounds really do not fit into the included storage case, they do, but just barely and with a lot of pressure.
Think of this cord as insurance and loss prevention for your Zounds you just bought. Recommend.

I have worn these at two concerts now. I find absolutely no reduction in sound quality but I definitely get the protection I needed. The cord is helpful for keeping the earplugs safe and attached when I take them out. I also plan to use the product next time I fly in lieu of bulky noise canceling headphones.

Got these for a music festival and never had to worry about them falling out of my ears running around! Keeps the sound pure but protected as well. My ears weren't even ringing the next morning!

I believe the connector cord is a necessity for these earplugs. I've been using Zound earplugs for a year now and taken them to every festival and concert I go to. I got the connector with a pair I bought for EDC Orlando and I worked great. They fit around the earplugs in a way that fit doesn't disrupt the fit of the earplugs in your ear and they are easy to attach and detach. The cord is a good length and very durable. I also like that they are clear so most people don't even see the cord. The cord is definitely worth the purchase with if you don't want to lose your earplugs.
